Palliative & Quality-of-Life Support

For individuals and families seeking comfort and quality of life alongside palliative care.

This page is written for individuals and families navigating serious or life-limiting illness who wish to explore complementary heritage pathways, with a focus on comfort and quality of life, alongside their palliative care team.

For many families the aim is comfort, calm and time together rather than any change in the illness itself. Gentle touch, familiar cultural or religious customs and a quiet, respectful setting can matter a great deal, and we are glad to listen. Careventis does not provide palliative care and does not suggest that any practice alters the course of an illness. Conversations are private and unhurried, and respect the person's own faith and wishes.

Please keep your palliative or hospice team informed; they can advise on what is comfortable and safe at each stage. We will never suggest stopping or declining any care.

If you would like to explore complementary heritage pathways, you can submit a private inquiry. We will listen to your circumstances, share what we have documented about relevant traditions and — where appropriate — introduce independent practitioners. This page is informational: it does not describe a treatment, and Careventis is a research and facilitation network, not a clinic.

Points to Raise With Your Medical Team

  • What feels comfortable for the person, and what does not
  • Any religious or cultural customs the person or family would like to include
  • Any herbal or botanical preparation, in case it affects medication or comfort
  • Who should be present, and whether sessions can happen at home
